For Me, There is Only One Source of Peace

The question I am trying to answer is: What brings you peace?
Personally, I would want to reword that to, “What gives you peace?” since I believe this peace is a gift 🎁 given by a Giver.

For Me, There is only One source of peace. And this peace is a physical peace which sweeps over me like a gushing water that stills my restless mind and heart; and the reason I say physical peace is because this peace impacts my body in such a way that I can feel a pysical presence of God’s Holy Spirit on my faculties; for example, when the Holy Spirit comes upon me, my eye-lashes start fluttering, and I feel a warm, energising presence from deep in my own spirit that I am loved unconditionally and unlimitedly. I now feel completely safe and at peace in the arms of God who sends his very own Spirit to confirm his promises to me I can find in the Bible. Promises, for example, if you open your Bible, e.g. my Bible says these words which are just words on paper, yet these words hold unlimited power, if you apply them to your life.  These words calm me, but more than that, when I apply these words and actually do what the words tell me to do, i.e. to decide to not worry, but instead to pray, and to petition my God and Heavenly Father for reddress for all the problems that are swirling around me;  when I surrender all my worries and concerns into his more capable hands, who knows exactly how to deal with those worries, then a huge relief and lightness in my mind and spirit descends upon me. Thus, now I have the faith to believe God “is on my case”, and turning my situation around by his love.

That’s when God’s perfect, physical peace by his Holy  Spirit begins to minister to me and suddenly I feel this calming, tranquil, physical feeling descend upon me; and I know that God is calming all my inner qualms and calming my inner-tensions which impact my outer tensions – and all my inner tumultuous torment and pain – by his miraculous, healing, Holy Spirit. He is melting every fear and worry in me by the breath of his mouth.

That promise I can claim is found in the Bible which I believe God has promised to me and you, in the Book of Philippians, Chapter Four, Verses Five, Six and Seven,

“The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Then the peace of God which even ministers to you a deep profound peace in the midst, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.”

(From the New International Version, with Verse Seven updated in modern-day English by the Author, C. Briscoe).

Also, another Scripture which ties in with this, which is also another promise I can claim to apply and to enable God’s Holy Spirit to minister to me,

In the Bible-book of Psalms, in Psalm 92, Verse One, until Verse Four,

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’

Surely, he will save you from the fowler’s snare, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”

Also, in another Psalm, in Psalm 34:4-8,

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.

8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (In the New King James Version Bible)

And this above promise of, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good”, is a promise for you to receive, so will you test out his personal love for yourself by tasting of God’s goodness for you – his personal love, peace and comfort for your life?

Also, from the Book of Psalms, Psalm  138:8,

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”

(In the New King James Version Bible)

So, in my daily life, this is what gives me real, physical, unlimited, profound, yet, all-abiding, perfect-peace.
